◊SENIOR PICTURES◊

Senior pictures will be taken on Wednesday, November 17th. Morning Unitec students will begin taking pictures at 7:30am. All other seniors will be called out by alphabet. Senior men are expected to wear a tie and a long sleeved, button up, collared shirt. Senior ladies are expected to wear something dress code appropriate with no writing on the front. Seniors will not receive packets from the office prior to picture day for ordering. You will have the opportunity for a pose of you choosing in addition to the picture for the yearbook and wall composite and the cap and gown picture. You will receive proofs after pictures are taken, orders will be made from the proofs.

 Any senior that is part of the National Honor Society and planning to enroll in a postsecondary college or university in fall of 2023 that is interested in the National Honor Society Scholarship should stop by the library to pick up the overview and guide to apply. ♣SENIORS♣

The Associated General Contractors of Missouri Education Foundation Scholarships are awarded to students entering a construction related program of study. The program can be a Department of Labor approved apprenticeship program, technical school program, or two or four year college program. The information page provides more details on the qualifications for application and how to submit the application with the required additional information. Last year a total of $62,000 was divided between 32 applicants. Click here to go to Kaleidoscope, the scholarship management platform which is hosting the application. ♥SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES♥

 The local VFW is sponsoring this year’s “Voice of Democracy” competition. PHS winners have received over $1,100 in prizes and scholarships over the last two years. PHS students will receive $100 for 1st place, $75 for 2nd, and $50 for 3rd. The 1st place entry will be submitted to the district and state level for scholarships worth up to $2000 or use scholarship central HERE. See Mr. Kester in Room 226 if you are interested.
