Drafting 1 & 2:

Drafting is a basic course in practical blueprint reading. The course is designed to aid any student interested in the language of drawing. The main objective of this course is to learn the language of drawing by applying these techniques to the construction of actual drawings. Each student is required to make approximately one drawing per week, and will be given special drawing tests using the principles of technical drawing.

The purpose of this curriculum is to expand each student’s knowledge and understanding of industrial technology. Each student participating in this program will be provided the opportunity to develop an understanding of the practical application of math and scientific principles to industrial processes and to understand and demonstrate problem-solving and decision-making procedures by using processes, tools, materials, and products of industry. It allows students to develop individual skills, interests, and aptitudes as related to technology, and also to identify the work habits, attitudes, and personality which will help maintain future employment.
