Classes:

General Shop-

is designed to introduce the student to a wide range of experience with tools and materials. The emphasis will be on familiarizing the student with basic tools and equipment that used by people in industry. Developing desirable attitudes and safety habits are emphasized. The purpose of this curriculum is to expand each students knowledge and understanding of industrial technology. Each student participating in this program will be provided the opportunity to develop an understanding of the practical application of math and scientific principles to industrial processes and to understand and demonstrate problem-solving and decision-making procedures by using processes, tools, materials, and products of industry. it allows students to develop individuals skills interest, and aptitudes as related to technology, and also to identify the work habits, attitudes, and personality which will help maintain future employment. Students will be given the opportunity to explore the career opportunities in industry and their requirements through occupational orientation and role playing experiences and to develop an understanding of the impact of technology in our society.

General Shop 2-

is designed to introduce the student to a wide range of experiences in the areas of metalworking, welding, sheet metalworking, and art metalworking. the emphasis will be on familiarizing the student with the fundamental concerts of each field, as well as the usage of the basic tools, equipments, and materials involved in each process. Developing desirable attitudes and safety habits are emphasized.

Woods- 

Students will learn to operate machine tools and hand tools. They are assigned to require project that includes most of the tools, joints, and different processes used throughout the year. Fastening and finishing techniques are also taught along with safety rules and clean-up procedures. The purpose of this curriculum is to expand each student’s knowledge and understanding of the industrial Technology.
