{"id":14345,"date":"2023-02-02T08:40:27","date_gmt":"2023-02-02T14:40:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/potosistudents.com\/?page_id=14345"},"modified":"2023-02-03T08:14:37","modified_gmt":"2023-02-03T14:14:37","slug":"employment","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/potosistudents.com\/index.php\/employment\/","title":{"rendered":"Employment"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Employment<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>For students to receive credit, proof of hours worked must be submitted and kept on file with the Flex facilitator.<\/li>\n<li>In order to sustain full-time status, students are required to maintain &#8220;Minimum Employment&#8221; and submit their hours each pay period.\n<ul>\n<li>&#8220;Minimum Employment&#8221; is defined as submitting an average of 20 work hours per week throughout the course of their enrollment in Flex Program.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li>If a student fails to maintain employment, they are required to report to the facilitator\n<ul>\n<li>During that time students will:\n<ul>\n<li>Refine their career portfolio<\/li>\n<li>Complete job applications<\/li>\n<li>Call prospective employers and follow up on outstanding applications<\/li>\n<li>Seek unpaid internships and\/or volunteer opportunities<\/li>\n<li>Job shadow prospective employers<\/li>\n<li>Failure to meet and\/or maintain a &#8220;minimum employment&#8221; statues will result in the student being transitioned out of the Flex Program.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol>\n<li>Students have several options for accumulating hours.\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Option 1: employment<\/strong> in Potosi and\/or surrounding communities\n<ul>\n<li>Proof of hours worked (check stubs) are to be reported in a timely fashion.<\/li>\n<li>Students who enter the program mid-semester are eligible to turn in all hours worked during the course of the current term.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Option 2: Student Internship Program<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Students in Flex are eligible to apply for an unpaid internship with Potosi School District, local employer, or an agency.<\/li>\n<li>If accepted, they will be placed under the supervision of a designated employee who will oversee their internship and assign their job description.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Option 3: Volunteer\/Community Service with an Official Agency\n<ul>\n<li>Potosi partners with agencies and organizations in Potosi and surrounding communities.
